When we first launched Vau Vintage with the 1996, we were certain that this new approach to Vintage Port would be controversial. We identified that a growing number of Port wine lovers were looking for exceptional, rich, full-bodied wines, well balanced to drink at an earlier stage of maturity, and yet with some ageing potential. Vau Vintage was the innovative response to this need, and we were delighted by the response to the wine…and to the idea. The last Vau Vintage made was the 2003.
